My GREATEST Kitchen Obsession

Do you have a favorite kitchen appliance?

Do you have a crap ton of appliances?  You know, so many that your hubby is looking at you like you’re NUTS when you dare to bring another one home?  Are you pulling your hair out trying to find a place to store them all?

I still do, but all that is getting ready to change!  I have found ONE, (yep, you read that right) ONE appliance that has QUICKLY become my best friend in the kitchen!

If you follow me, at all, you know what THE APPLIANCE is that I speak of!

Where was this, years ago, when I had four babies all wanting my attention?

This ONE simple product, literally, allows me to put dinner on the table (without pre-planning) in as little as 30 minutes!  I’m talking, healthy, yummy, good-for-you, HOMEMADE dinners!

I have made all three of the above recipes, and if you follow my social media accounts, you’ll see these recipes posted every Thursday night.

This lovely, amazing, life-changing appliance is called an InstantPot!  Yes, you may find off brand varieties, but I went for the InstantPot and haven’t regretted it for one moment!  You can check it out by following the link below:

If you don’t already have one, I PROMISE, it’s the best gift you can give yourself!

I use mine so much, that I’ve recently ordered another sealing ring…lol!

Here’s a yummy, easy recipe to start you off!

InstantPot Spaghetti

1 pound lean ground turkey (or beef)

1/2 teaspoon EACH Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Italian Seasoning*

1 pound Spaghetti Noodles

1 (24 Ounce) Jar Spaghetti Sauce

36 Ounces Water, 1 1/ 2 Jars

1 (14.5 Ounce) Can Diced Tomatoes

1 small onion, chopped

  1.  Set the InstantPot to saute’ and add the ground beef and onions.  Add all the seasonings and cook until the meat is completely browned.  Turn the InstantPot off.  Drain any excess grease from the meat, if necessary. (NOTE:  if using ground turkey, you will need to add a bit of extra virgin olive oil to browning process)
  2. Break the spaghetti in half and place on top of the meat in the InstantPot.  Pour over the spaghetti sauce, diced tomato and Water.  Push the spaghetti down with a spoon if necessary to make sure it is completely covered in liquid.
  3. Seal the InstantPot and set it to MANUAL mode, HIGH PRESSURE,  8 minutes cooking time.  When the time is up, use the MANUAL QUICK RELEASE to open the InstantPot.  Stir the spaghetti well.  Serve immediately.

*I use Penzey’s Pasta Sprinkle along with other spices
